Building Productive Coastal Systems

NextCoast develops and operates coastal production systems designed to combine biological production, engineering, technology, research, and intelligence within real operating environments.

Mussels provide the initial production focus, with future expansion expected across additional aquaculture species and coastal production systems as capabilities are proven and replicated.

The objective is not simply to operate farms and hatcheries, but to build production environments that can become increasingly productive, measurable, replicable, and intelligence-enabled over time.

Emerging Regional Hubs

NextCoast is developing a network of regional production hubs designed to bring together production, research, infrastructure, technology, and coastal intelligence within defined coastal environments.

These hubs are intended to become the operating foundation for NextCoast’s expansion across the Philippines and, over time, other coastal markets.

The first hubs are taking shape. More will follow.

Production as a Platform for Learning

NextCoast production sites are intended to do more than generate output.

They also create real environments in which biological performance, engineering systems, technologies, operating methods, and decision processes can be tested and improved.

This allows production experience to contribute directly to the development of NextCoast software, research, technology systems, and broader coastal intelligence capabilities.

From First Hubs to a Wider Network

The initial regional hubs are intended to establish the operating model for a broader network of coastal production environments.

As NextCoast expands into additional locations and species, each new hub can build on accumulated knowledge, tested systems, and shared capabilities developed across the wider NextCoast ecosystem.
